:: February 2019 ::

We had a lovely weekend in
Serole, enjoying all the snow -
some snow shoeing, snow
angel makin' and some head
standin'. I have been practicing
my head stands and really love
them. That feeling when you
raise your legs up and find
your balance - it feels
fabulous. I am still practicing -
sometimes I still need a wall
and sometimes I fall over or
backwards (below). But I am
getting better.

We enjoyed good food and
wine and cozy fires.

1-3 February 2019
Serole, Italia
One of my two Barcelona trips this
month. Full, full days - half day
teaching Growth Mindset 2.0 in
the morning and afternoon of
Belong at HP (neuroscience  of
inclusion and bias)

Also, connecting with dear
colleagues - this is Cami, she just
relocated from Bucharest to
Barcelona - I am so proud of her
and honored that I can be part of
her amazing journey.
Spontaneous let's have wine on
the beach and chat and catch up.
And I met a dog. He was walking
with his owner and then just came
and parked it by me like he knew
me. I love him.

4-8 February 2019
Barcelona, Spain
Another perfect weekend in
Serole. My FAVORITE place.
We went to Alba and had
cheese and wine. Practiced
yoga, had a bonfire and Joe
did some shootin'.  We also
met with a contractor about
digging up the ground floor
and redoing the foundation.
Mamma mia.  We have known
that we needed to do this -
but what a pain because the
floor is basically built on a think
bit of cement and dirt without
any type of real foundation. It
will be a big job and we will
probably not start it until next
Fall. Only because said
contractor is too busy at the
moment and he needs to find
an army of people to do the
hand digging because there is
not enough space to get a
industrial digger in the house.

Off to Barcelona next week.

Zaven passed his written/
theoretical driving test! Yahoo!
Next is passing the actual
driving test - he has 6 months
to do so. The written driving
test is difficult for mother
tongue Italian speakers so we
are so proud of how hard he
worked to pass!

Serole, Italia
It's been gorgeous and sunny.

Sheesh February is almost
over.
Zaven had 5 exams this last
week - uff - but he did
fabulous 30/30 - and two
29/30  yay Zaven!
Joe had a week at home
working on his doctorate - I
admire his tenacity, grit and
scholastic aptitude - the last
bit I don't embody and am in
awe of.
I got home Thursday morning
from Barcelona and we headed
to Serole. It is weirdly warm
for February (global warming
duh)- ~ 20 degrees, so we
decided to go snow shoeing at
Prato Nevoso - skiing would be
slushy and icy and dangerous.
Lot's of beautiful views and
vitamin D.
I visited my dad's tree- it is
healthy and ready for Spring.
Even though we didn't live by
each other for a long time
before he passed I still miss
knowing he is on the earth so I
love visiting his tree - just
sitting, remembering him and
being grateful that he was my
father.
