The view of the Alps means I
am almost home.

Where I love to be. I was
sitting outside and decided to
take advantage of the sun
and dry grass and practice
my headstand and Fribble ran
underneath me as I
happened to be falling and I
crushed him. He ran off and
only looked back to give me
the stink eye.
He was fine, thank goodness,
even though his fur is still
embedded in my mat.

In addition to facilitating at this
darling venue, Gillwell Park,
historic London scouting
venue, I got to practice my
headstands with London in the
distance. It was on a slope so I
fell over a few times. A lot.
Before we got the shot. Sore
shoulder and hip. Note to self:
warm up it helps prevent
injuries. Duh.

I was in France and woke up to
this Instagram post. Which
was probably one of the
happiest days of my life. And
Joe's. And ours.
Not Dr. yet, but probably the
most important milestone of
the doctoral program.

Congratulations Joe, I am SO
inspired by you and proud of
you!

We celebrated Pesach and Easter in
Serole - enjoyed the long weekend,
fires in the firepit, hikes and runs,
good food and wine and took a day
to go climbing! Which we haven't
done, together, as a family, or Joe
and I, in years. We drove down to
the Riviera and then back up to
Monte Rama. There was a perfect
wall, full sun, not too hot, easy and
hard routes. The area is gorgeous,
high desert, arid - I always say it
reminds me of Bend. I had a sinus
infection and have been pretty sick,
so it was nice to lay in the sun and
the boys could belay each other
and I could relax and rest in
between climbs. I was very grateful
to spend the day with 2 out of 3 of
my boys.

Vacation continued in Germany.
We had to do some work at the
Holzgerlingen house AND got to
spend quality time with the
Plapps.

Our lives are hectic and busy so
it is precious time together.
They were working and we were
busy but it was nice to hang out
before and after work.

Sadly, the kids were at their
grandparents - but we will be
back in July and can spend some
quality Godparent time with
them
