:: December 2020 ::
And then there was the snow
storm of the century. Think
The Shining. Well that was
what I was thinking of - but
my friend said Narnia, which is
such a better analogy. I
shoveled myself out and I put
on my own chains and was
happy when the neighbor said
he would push the snow away
from the entrance to our
house because his brother,
the dick, always pushes it in
front of our house. You
wouldn't believe the politics of
this little frazione. Mamma mia.
Still in lockdown but I think
Joe is going to bust out to
visit and bring the snow
shoes up tomorrow.
One day of sun between snow
storms. Internet and
electricity holding. Hoping Joe
brings supplies.

Go Dog Go! Lula loves the
snow and running wild. She's
a cutie.

3 December 2020
Joe made it! Traffic was so
snarled with the snow and ice
that it took him 5 hours vs. the
normal 2.
Long snowy walks, toasty fires,
watching Christmas movies.
We went snow shoeing - but it
was actually too much snow for
Lula - she would have to follow
right behind in our tracks
otherwise she would sink and
her poor tummy would be in
the freezing snow.

Not sure how we are going to
manage Hannukah & Christmas
this year - and the edict rules
are bizarre and confusing.
We will figure it out.

4-8 December 2020
Brallo, AT
Another gorgeous weekend
of sun and snow and views.
A perfect Sunday. Except it
is 2020 and our holiday
plans are in shambles.
We will have to celebrate
Hanukah and Christmas
together (Joe, Zaven and I)
on the 19th in Zeccone
after the really real Hanukah
and before the really real
Christmas  - another hard
lockdown 20 December - 6
January -  Joe and I will
shag ass to Brallo on the
20th and spend our
vacation there, locked
down, through 7 January.
Zaven will be working, by
choice, and prefers to be in
Zeccone.

Biznonna house purchase
delayed until early January
too -because of dumb covid.
I want a vaccination and for
this year to be over.

13 December 2020
Serole
Well at least the weather is
ideal even if the holiday is not.

It snowed on Christmas day
evening, the next day we
snowshoed and met E&E at
the picnic area for gorgeous
views and prosecco

26 December 2020
Lula squeezes into
the chair and sleeps
on me.
Christmas Eve
prosecco with
Elena's family
- we
love them
Christmas video chat with Avalon &
Fawn in Portland, Zaven in
Zeccone, Kathy in Vancouver and
us in Serole. The first shot -
talking to Kathy's hair.
It was so nice to be together with
family. Even virtually.
I love having E&E here.
Spending time with real
people. They had to be
tested before t
raveling to
Italy
. Elena and I have
been running in the
mornings to offset all the
cheese and wine
consumed at night.
Snow shoeing, snow shoeing,
snow shoeing
