Celebrating Joe the Doctor &
December 2019
Yoga with Fawn in front of the fire.

Sunriver is fun, but there are no
mountain views, a lot of trees and a
planned community, we still loved it.
A very cold hike to the lava lands.
Poor Zaven had the flu. He has
been to America four times in the
last 10 years and has had the flu
two out of four times. Not used to
the pathogens in 'Merica.

And just us in a very wintery and
cold Sunriver.

Zaven hasn't really been out of
Portland and he loves it here. The
house we rented was tacky and
Sunriver-esque, but the boys
thought it was perfect.

Grateful to have dear, old,
friends stop by to say hi and
congratulations

15 December 2019
It took 14 years and a
doctorate to get Joe to visit
Portland.

And we made it by the hair of
our teeth.

We arrived on Friday the 13th,
barely, Joe was traveling on his
Italian passport (his US
passport expired - he has been
busy) and didn't know he
needed a VISA / ETSA. They let
him in, but it was a nail biter

The graduation was at
Concordia on Saturday the 14th.

Meet and greet at the Duniway
Hilton, where we stayed, with
friends and family on Sunday
the 15th.

Sunriver with Avalon and Zaven
and Fawn Monday 16 December
- Thursday 19 December.

Home to Milan on Friday the
20th - arriving Saturday the
21st.

It was a blitz, but worth every
moment to officially close this
huge milestone.

Dr. Joseph Leonetti. Ed.D

13-20 December
Portland & Sunriver, Oregon
Nothing better than coming back
from vacation to vacation. Trip
home was smooth, long, but
smooth. Sky priority and lounge
access and no lost luggage makes
a huge difference to travel. So
happy to be home after the very
busy week. We arrived late
Saturday, had Sunday to do
laundry, bake cookies, make latkes
to kick off Haunukkah and then
met Nicolo and Lori in Milano for
lights, views of the Duomo and
prosecco.
I love that Zaven and Nicky have
been such good friends, for so
long and that Lori and their moms
are such good friends.
We also checked out the 'new'
Starbucks Reserve which is
gorgeous. I have visited the
Seattle Reserve with Avalon, so it
was fun to visit Milan's to compare.

Milano
And then Serole to really relax.
We had gorgeous, amazingly clear
views of the Alps, long walks,
delicious food, cozy fires, sleeping
in, reading, roasting chestnuts
and making gluhwine. Sunrise
walks and sunset Prosecco.  Baci
is still with us and managed to
come on a few walks too.
I love it here so much.
Last quiet (everything isn't a big
fat mess) stay before the BIG
foundation/floor replacement

We took a day to visit Cinque
Terre. It's lovely but so full of
tourists and hikers even in the
middle of December.
