Flew via London. Flight was delayed but the British Air crew were stars - got me rescheduled on the later SFO-PDX flight, parked me in First Class and gave me champagne. Thank you BA! |

Originally, our team, traveling from all the corners of the world, were going to have a retreat in Lake Tahoe, we packed our snow gear and as we were arriving to SFO we learned that the roads to Lake Tahoe were impassible. Regroup - Let's go to Bodega Bay - operations scramble to get all 11 of us rooms. Great, reserved! Then, we get a call that Bodega Bay has lost power. Next plan - Sonoma Wine Country. Geneva, Grenoble April: Palo Alto, Bucharest & Amsterdam May: Israe (with Lori - yay!)l June: Budapest September: Croatia (with Kerry - hurrah!), Oslo These are the for sures. I am mentally preparing. Prayers and positive thoughts please Zaven's trip to Portland, to visit Avalon,is booked for August. Yay! Joe is still pulling A's in his doctoral program. Damn it is tough to get a good one of the three of us at the same time. |

I had the honor to deliver an Unconscious Bias workshop to our EMEA HR Leadership team. One of the things we do, to make the session special, is slip thoughtful post cards under participants doors before the session. Like little diversity love letters. | My heart breaks a little every time Zaven leaves. Walked into the guest room / Joe's office and found this. We are so blessed to have such nice & thoughtful children. So to recover from my little heart ache - mountains and vitamin D were prescribed. Winter Schminter - it totally feels like Spring. We took a short drive down to the Riviera - Mounte Rama - I loved this hike 1. because it was sunny, we had clear blue skies and it was warm but also the landscape was arid - high desert - pines and rocks. Reminded me of Bend, Oregon. But with the Italian coastline as a backdrop. 26 February 2017 |
