I get to do my work in some
of the most beautiful
destinations in the world.

It was hazy and smoky at
times (ash on my rental), I'm
pretty sure I smelled like a
campfire and I think a bigfoot
grunted and threw a rock at
me on my morning trail  run.
Besides that, I am so
grateful that I get to do my
work AND see people I
dearly love, who laugh with
me, and at me, and ground
me and give me perspective,
let me sleep at their homes
or meet me or take me for
food or cook for me and let
me use their sunscreen

What more do I need?

A HUGE highlight was visiting
with our friends, the
Manleys, and tubing down
the Feather river and
drinking margaritas. I
decided I want to do this
everyday.
You can take the girl out of
Brush Prairie but you can't
take Brush Prairie out of the
girl

And then we hiked up to the
Sierra Butte Lookout. It was
a gorgeous day but the
visibility wasn't as grand as it
usually is due to California
being on fire. I still loved it.

Tahoe, California
1-5 August 2018

Look who I ran into!

Loved being in Portland
between my Palo Alto, San
Francisco and Tahoe work
trips.

Avalon was a generous and
gracious host.

July 27-30 2018
Portland, Oregon
A trip to Northern California
would not be complete
without a visit to the
Hammonds & Scout
(everyone loves a terrier,
especially me)

They took me sailing. Well
Anne sailed and Mike and I
kayaked. Ok, Anne didn't
really sail either, it was
glass but we puttered
around - laughed and
caught up - it never feels
like any time has passed -
we just pick up mid
conversation.

Rocklin, California
5-6 August 2018
Loved catching up with old friends
I was invited to participate on our
Young Employee Network HR
Panel with some pretty impressive
peers. I was honored and it was
fun, which was necessary
considering I woke up at 2.00 AM
to fly to Amsterdam, then SFO,
survive TSA and Uber to the site
and quickly change in the lobby
restroom.

HPQ
Palo Alto
27 July 2018
I had a business trip to Tel
Aviv and Lori came with
me.  In between my gigs
we visited Jerusalem, which
is always powerful for me,
and visited the amazing Tel
Aviv beach - had hummus,
vegetables and watermelon.

It was the very last
sessions for a major HP
leadership program and a
lovely honor for me that the
HP Israel HR team
acknowledged that and with
a personalized bottle of
wine.

16-20 August 2018
Tel Aviv & Jerusalem Israel
I am home for FOUR weeks. I
haven't been home for four
weeks in more than a year (and
a half, maybe more. eeek). My
eye twiitching is getting better,
not gone. Yet.
We are doing some fun updating
in Serole. Relaxing and resting.
Our first beach day - was lovely -
a good book and cold beers and
bobbing in the surf. The nut
festival next weekend. Friends
visiting. The annual high altitude
trek - this year in Switzerland.
