| There were things I loved about India. And things I didn't love so much. I loved my Mehndi - henna tattoos 21-28 June 2018 Bangalore & Dehli I love the mountains and it is a dream to see the Himalayas. But I want to see them with Joe. Specifically, Nepal. I couldn't imagine being so close and not seeing the Indian Himalayas. So I did research and made plans to visit Lek & Ledakh. Very far north and close to Kabul and Islamabad. I knew there was a chance I would get altitude sickness, flying in at 4000 meters / 12000 feet and only having two days - not allowing myself to acclimatize. And even with the diamox I got altitude sickness (worse than child birth?) + food poisoning (dodgy tofu?) They had to give me oxygen twice which by the way does nothing for food poisoning.
