Live from inside of the
Leonetti car. Baci
surrounded and unable to
lay down due to cat
proximity.

July 2016
Wowzers, look
at the colors of
the ocean!

The beautiful Portland
Skyline

I am so grateful to have
been invited to attend
an Unconscious Bias
train the trainer session
in Boise, Idaho and
opportunistically
delighted that I could
pass through Portland
before and after to visit
Avalon and friends.

I loved my visit! It was a
whirlwind of restaurants
and social engagements.
Avalon was an excellent
host, I love his Portland
neighborhood, we ate
and drank our way
through Portland.

July 2016

Loved catching up with
Lisa after 15 years,
wow!
An early, jet lagged
(but I did sleep 7
hours - woohoo)
morning run through
Av's neighborhood to
Tilikum Crossing.
Portland has really
changed. I love the
huge new food culture,
but was very sad to
see so many homeless
people.

23 July 2016
After my inspirational
visit with Rabbi Brian
we headed to the
beach with Kimi to stay
her vacation home in
Ocean Park,
Washington.

Cocktails & a view in
Astoria, Oregon
22 June 2016

And we got to see
Jake! I spent hours, as
a kid, in Marsh's Free
Museum. I was sad
there were not any
rubber bugs to be
found.
We did go on the
bumper cars though!

You can drive and have fires on
the Long Beach Peninsula.
Dangerous and weird, but when in
Rome...we packed some snacks
and Avalon salvaged drift wood to
make us a raging fire. It was
magical and no one ran us over.

A beautiful and cloudless morning
run.
Still a dud beach - no shells, just
crab carcasses and broken sand
dollars.
The very best thing
was spending time
with Avalon in his new
chosen country and
city.
He is happy,
successful and having
fun, he makes me
laugh and he makes
me proud.
What more could a
mom want.

We rushed back from
the beach and I was
able to steal an hour
with my sweet nephew
before my next social
engagement. Lee looks
so much like my half
brother and Zaven, it
made me cry.

24 July 2016

And then
rooftop cocktails
with Scott &
Michelle at Noble
Rot.

I love that they
were our friends
so many years
ago, a crazy time
spent hanging
out at the
Empire in
Portland and I
am happy that
we survived and
are still pals.

24 July 2016

How cool is it to just be
walking around Portland with
your kid and have him look up
and say, "I designed that."

My boy. I am so proud.

A challenging but worth it
facilitator training in Boise.
Unconscious Bias. I am so
thankful for the opportunity
and that I could see several
Boise based friends as well.
Yay!

Loved, loved, loved meeting
my colleagues in person, vs
virtual Skype calls.

Ricardo & Kelsey at the Basque
Festival. A huge Basque
community in Boise. Who knew.

25-28 July 2016
Boise, Idaho

Friday July 29th
Catching up with Erin
& Joanie

Saturday July 30th
Portland's 4T
Trail, tram, trolley &
train

Ricki, Melissa and I
added the 5th T by
ending our tour with
a stop at Henry's
Tavern downtown

A nice long run down to
Noli and back to Spotorno
where we relaxed, drank
wine and enjoyed the
views.

3 July 2016
We are so fortunate to have a cool
place to escape the Milan summer
heat. Last summer the Serole
house was being renovated, but
this summer all the renovations are
done and we have been enjoying
almost every weekend  there.

Spending time in Serole is
therapeutic for me. Taking long
walks to visit Omar's tree, which is
thriving, bbqing, hilly bike rides,
long runs and if we are lucky
fireflies.
