One of my favorite movies is Nordwand, so it was SOOOO cool to ski to Hotel Bellevue des Alpes, at 2070 meters, which was a big part of the movie. The entire area is just magical - a small village, with a train station, at this altitude is amazing. |
Grindelwald, Switzerland Ski Vacation 2014 I think one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. 360` of gorgeous with the Eiger RIGHT there. We kept stopping to take pictures because everywhere we turned was crazy amazing. So grateful that we had perfect weather and wonderful company! The last night we booked night sledding, we took a small gondola up, sled an hour down, total darkness except for stars, a lot of faith that there were no giant ruts and that we wouldn't go flying off of a cliff and hoping that there were no wolves or bears, or inbred Swiss hillbilly serial killers and once at the bottom - we had a wonderful fondue dinner with beer. Right: We stayed at avery old and cool hotel right in Interlaken - it was once a grand hotel which they converted into a low end hotel - almost like a hostel but not as terrifying, but I suspect a bit haunted. |

Stramilano 2014 . 23 Marzo 2014 Zaven's Film Festival: The ASM Film students won 3 top awards at the European Student Film Festival this weekend: Best Director for "Phobias" by the IB Film Juniors : (Zaven was one of them and is a sophomore). The panel of online judges and film industry professionals commented that the film showed clear evidence of carefully planning and pre-visualization that was essential to it's success. Each of the student's in the IB Juniors class took the role of Director for each of the film's 8 scenes. The Audience Choice Award for "Phobias": This award was given as a result of a survey of the online judges, other film teachers attending the festival and the 130 students who viewed the film in Annecy's local cinema the night before. The festival's organizer, Benjamin Botorff commented to the students "We were really glad to have ASM bring comedy to the festival this year!" Winner of the 24 Hour Film Challenge Yay Zaven and ASM IB Film! Annecy, France 2014 . Avalon is coming for International Night at school on April 4th The Leonetti's are going to Amsterdam for Easter. And then I need to be back in Amsterdam for work at the very end of April. As always ~ much much much to be grateful for |
