| Two consecutive Saturday beach days. We have had appointments at the vacation house - redoing the roof, vaulting the ceilings, so afterward we kept heading south to the beach. It is so relaxing. And such a perfect time because it isn't crazy crowded. #happy #beachtherapy Spotorno, Italia |

We met Elisa Drocco and her family at the Truffle festival of Alba - over the years we have been good customers of their wonderful wine. We went to the Vinum Alba - lots of local wines and sommeliers explaining them - which is nice but sort of sterile and without soul. So, we were so happy to be invited to the Drocco Vineyard afterward, just outside Alba, to do some wine tasting and buying. |

I LOVE Cantine Aperte!!! Last year I didn't get to go, I was in Singapore, so that was still nice, but I was sad to miss it. This year we had great company, insane views and lovely weather. Alpi Apuane, Tuscany May 31 - June 2 Leonetti Trek 2014 We had always seen these mountains driving south and thought there must be some good trekking and rifugi...and there were! We like to do a trek for Joe's birthday weekend unfortunately it is always a bit iffy as most rifugi are higher altitude (which is great) but means that the snow hasn't melted and they likely don't open until later in the season. It was a challenge to find 2 open and within trekking distance. I always love our treks and I am so grateful to be able to explore the mountains and experience these amazing views with my family. |
