Frohe Weihnachten!

We came up to Germany to visit
Avalon, friends and the Christmas
Market.

We had great weather, VERY cold with
some snow ~ a winter wonderland!

Joe and Zaven went home on Sunday
and I am staying, with Sin and Phil,
until the 11th to work.

7-11 December
So proud of Avalon, we swung by his
office at the design firm where he is
doing his internship, which is so cool
and modern, and picked him up. We
are very thrilled that they have asked
him to stay on after internship as a
freelance designer. He loves his work
and really has an excellent office
culture - it is perfect for him. He
graduates with his BA in July and will
take a little break before starting his
Masters...he says and I hope :)
Conny and the Plapps
met us Saturday night
for some Christmas
cheer. My two favorite
girls in Germany - it was
wonderful to spend time
with them!

Yes, Sin & I were hat
sharing. You can never
have enough winter
hats.
We stopped by the
Finnish Christmas
Market where we drank
Glogg, Av had a
reindeer meat sandwich
and salmon. They had a
teepee with reindeer
furs and a fire - LOVE it.

It was minus 3 or
something crazy.

Zaven looks like he is
aflame.
We had a lovely drive up on Friday
morning. Right: Brunnen Switzerland

9 December.
Merry Christmas!

We are so thankful this Christmas season! Avalon is here with us in Italy and we love having our
family under one roof in one country. We will of course be at the vacation house for Christmas Eve
and Christmas Day where we will do nothing but eat, drink, sit by the fire, watch movies, sleep and go
for walks.

We are looking forward to and wishing you a wonderful, happy, healthy and peaceful 2013.

With love,

Our annual pre
Christmas visit to
Milano. It was very
cold but not very
crowded...weird

Gressoney!

Our first ski day of the
season. It was time for Avalon
to fly home - we really had a
nice visit. Every minute I have
with my entire family together,
in the same country, is
cherished.
This morning we dropped him
off at Malpensa, very early,
and kept driving East to
Aosta. I have learned to watch
the peaks...and I could see
from all the whispy clouds,
that it was WINDY, but it was
sunny so we weren't that
worried....however they ended
up, after only a few very long
runs, closing all but the
funivia. Ugh. It was fun while it
lasted - I was in serious need
of some vitamin D.

We will be spending New
Years at the vacay house (the
usual fireworks and fish) and
plan on one day of skiing at
Prato Nevoso.
