The Leonetti Family - Aprile 2011 Italia
It was 32.5 / 90 degrees yesterday -
the only way to escape this heat is to
catch a breeze on our fleet of g'ma
bikes...a lovely Sunday trying to find a
'good' (not on the death wish, deep
ditch, no shoulder country roads)
route to Pavia from our house - we
succeeded - 4 hours riding around on
Gloria Juan - not because of distance
but because of not really having a
map and just trying to avoid the
roads. Above - Spring time in the
Italian countryside is charming.

10 aprile 2011
Above - Centro Pavia - Stopping for a little wine, beer and snack

Right: The trail around Certosa di Pavia - you can only see the very tippy top of the ginormous monument -
in front of Certosa there was also a very small and sad market selling handmade crafts and trinkets which the
owners put WAY too much value on

Below - this is part of our run loop too, past the Nutria - who are not afraid of people - like if you are not
paying attention you will step on them (no joke) because there are SO many, the canals and fields  I always
have to stop and cuddle the puppies, I think they are deaf and going to grow up to be mean barnyard dogs -
I named them Fred & Carrie and I love them.
Joe & Michael,
post run, pre big
fat steak dinner -
steak from the
local butch(er) and
pre purchase of
our big fat stone
grill - picture it over
Michael's right
shoulder...
