The best Mother's Day ever! Such a nice day! (except it wasn't totally sunny) I got a gorgeous new cookbook "Specialita' d'Italia Le Regioni in Cucina" all the best and beloved recipes from all the regions.
We wanted to do some pre scouting for out trek in June, we drove to the trail head, above Introbbio and then hiked to the Agriturismo Baita for an amazing Mother's Day lunch. We could watch the mountain goats on the hill in front of us and then the goats which the farmers raised came in to be fed, I love to hear their bells when they come down the mountain. We had a multi course meal - 3 types of salumi, fresh bread, salad, spaghetti with herbs and pancetta, polenta, ribs and potatoes, strudel, red wine and cafe and it hardly cost anything.

I was feeling pretty happy to spend the day with 3/4 of my boys doing something we love (being in the mountains and eating)  and the other 1/4 called me so 100% blessed!
