Left: My self photo - The 1st climb of the season - that little dot over my left shoulder is Joe. I got down after the first route and told Joe that because I kept thinking of Mt. Eiger / Nordwand (must see movie) I got stuck. He choked laughing and reminded me that I wasn't in a blizzard and that I was only at about 900 meters vs 3500 meters and climbing with a nylon rope vs. a hemp rope, it is 2010 vs. 1936  and I didn't have a bleeding head wound, but still my OCD got the best of me - the routes after that were better, but I still suck. This year I am going to climb better and LEAD climb - my Spring/Summer resolution. Below Joe's self portrait - look at that amazing view - this is around Barzio - Pian di Bobbio - East of Lago di Lecco and about 30 min from our house. I am totally twitchy for our treks!
