Agosto 2009 - Alpi Marittime Trek

Day 3 Colle di Bocan 2900 meters - Rif. Genova behind us and some where in front of us is Rif. Remondino...and a HUGE storm which we were not expecting. The "never have to use it rain gear" was used - we slide down a snow field, were pelted with hail and rain, lost our way in a cloud/fog - but it was exciting and Zaven was a trooper

Day 3: Descent from Colle di Brocan to Rif. Remondino-

Night 3: Rifugio Remondino 2430 meters. Stambecco - Mt. goat or Ibex - they were every where licking the salt from the rocks - we also saw a million Marmots and a baby Ermine  - no wolves, which they have just reintroduced to the region

Day 4 Descent from Rif Remondino - leaving Alpi Marittime - Parco Naturale Argentera. We had just passed the sign which said dogs are not allowed in the park, even on a leash. So there is no way Baci could have come with us, that and because he is a big, fat, black, lard. We rescued him from the kennel, but have to take him back on Monday. Waaaaaaaaa.

Day 4 - Terme di Valdieri - loop complete - Back at the car and headed home to my own bed in Serole and a normal toilet. And to shower. I had just read an article on Coco Sumner, Sting's daughter, who never washes her hair and she said if you don't wash it eventually it cleans itself. So my hair and many other's at rifugio's were letting their hair clean itself. Whatever, it is gross and after not showering for 4 days I felt divine after I finally did.
