Hiking from Zermatt Swizterland to Mont Blanc France A few fun facts: Don't listen to the experts because you can hike for up to 5 hours in your flip flops Poisonous snakes ARE more afraid of you then you are of them Most of the time you do need technical mountain equipment when hiking in the Alps 1 liter of water is NOT enough for a 13 hour day of hiking, but drinking from the mt streams will not kill you 2900 meters is VERY high A head lamp is NOT enough light when trying to find poorly marked trails in the dark on the side of a mountain Do not feel pressured to compromise...there is always enough room in your pack for clean undies.
